Nov 1st 2008 “IMPROVEMENT THROUGH SELF-EMPOWERMENT”
WHO WE ARE
KhadiOrganics is a not-for-profit organization committed to making a difference in the lives of small farmers and their families in rural India.
“Khadi” means hand-spun. This was promoted by Mahatma Gandhi to create self-employment and put the power back in the hands of common people.
KhadiOrganics follows this philosophy of self-empowerment, and is dedicated to giving a hand-up to those in need to break the cycle of poverty. This is achieved primarily through socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable initiatives.
While the middle class is growing in India, the small farmers are becoming poorer. We strive to help these families to become independent and self-sufficient through supporting local programs.
We believe in partnerships to provide long-term solutions.
We believe in self-empowerment.

WHAT WE DO
KhadiOrganics is working in partnership with local farmers’ cooperatives, individuals and non-governmental organizations (NGO’s; eg, Navdanya) to assist with specific projects via donations, raising funds, microfinancing, education, and working creatively with local and new markets.
